I made a mistake a number of years ago and let one of my very favorite (MY SHINING HOUR) straight ahead recordings (1989) by Larry Coryell (guitar) slip away from me . Not to worry . Half the disc is here . Those five songs (2,3,5,6 and 8) and (all standards) feature pianist Kenny Barron (piano) , Buster Williams (bass) and Marvin "Smitty" Smith (drums) . Three other standards (4,7 and 9) find Larry in the quartet company of Stanley Cowell (piano) , Buster Williams (bass) and Beaver Harris (drums) . Culled from a third date , song (1) hears Mr Coryell in the company of Mr. Cowell (piano) , Mr. Williams (bass) and Billy Hart (drums) . With this kind of HARD swinging company , it's truly a no brainer . Scope it out fellow jazz enthusiasts . Up and running . This will put a SPRING in your step . "Duster" value also .
